The Himalayan Center offered free yoga classes to the senior citizens for over seven years and the public attended on a daily basic. There is a Labryant on the lawn used for walking meditation. The Center supports disadvantaged students, who attend the University of Wisconsin Stout for higher education. We are renovating and preserving the historic building to continue more programs in the future. We would like to bring additional courses in martial arts, acupuncture, mantra medicine and to set up a degree program in the culinary arts. Please view more on our website at http://www.himalayanfoundation.weebly.com

Sriverm School in Malethi India
Swami Hariharananda Bharati founded the Sriverm Project in Malethi, India. The facility is located 7000 feet on the Himalayan Mountains with the blessings of Gurudev, Sri Swami Rama of the Himalayas. He is known as the 'Laughing Baba' in the western world. He has touched the lives of many meditators as he travelled around the world.
Swami Hari brought the tranquility of the Himalayas to the seekers of the western shores, he captured their hearts with his contageous laughter and humbleness. He was truely a Himalayan Nomadic Yogi who claimed to have no formal school education, but his legacy remains a mystery in the Tarkeshwar Mountains of the Himalayas.
When Swami Harihar came to the Himalayan Education Center in the year 2000. He blessed the Himalayan school in Menomonie, Wisconsin and inaugurated the Himalayan Meditation Shrine on the third floor. It is now ten years since, no one spoke in that room. Meditation alone is practised in that shrine by students, seniors and yoga practioners.
Swamiji requested help from our members to help build the Sriverm College. It was then, that Sant and Swami Harihar began traveling to Canada, Trinidad and other places to raise funds. Swami Harihar and Sant went on the largest talk radio network in Canada, "The John Oakley Talk Radio Show". Before going to the studio, Swamiji and Sant were told that they had only 10 minutes on the air with John Oakley.
It was very interesting to be with Swami Harihar to experience the meeting of John Oakley and Swami Harihar in the corridors of the studios. John Oakley was so mesmerised with two men dressed in orange robes. He was so elated with the energy in the studio as he addressed his audience of eleven million listeners across Canada. John Oakley never had a Himalayan Monk in his studio and instead of 10 minutes, he had over 45 minutes interview. Hundreds of callers wanted to speak to Swami Harihar, but John Oakley had the honor to ask his personal questions on the air. Since then many donors contributed to the Sriverm Project.
Swami Harihar and Sant travelled many times to Trinidad and Tobago. Swami Harihar told his experiences of the wild tigers, forest animals and his mystic experiences about other cave yogis. Sant chanted with his harmonium as they lectured to large crowds in different cities. There were many wealthy families who contributed financially to the Sriverm project from Trinidad, Canada and USA; to help create the S.R.I.V.E.R.M community college. As a love token to his Master, Swami Harihar dedicated his efforts as The Swami Rama Institute Vocational Education and Research of Malethi, India.
